Young entrepreneurs release games on Hopscotch
Our mission at Hopscotch is to expose every kid to the powerful ideas of computing through a programming tool that lets them make real software.
A key part of making real software is learning how to turn your hard work into a business. In order to bring their ideas to life, app and game developers have to figure out how to monetize their creations so they can keep making great products for their users.
Hopscotch goes beyond just teaching kids the mechanics of coding. We want emerging creators to learn all the skills needed to create amazing games and apps.
That’s why we created the Seed Developer Program.
Over the last several weeks, kids selected for the program received direct support, guidance and mentorship from the Hopscotch team to help them plan, develop and launch 12 incredible games in the app’s new “Top Games” category. These games are first of their kind because not only are they super creative and fun, they also include special features that can be purchased with Hopscotch’s in-app currency, seeds. Game players can now pay creators directly in seeds to access new levels, characters, boosters and more.

Over & Under: A Platformer by Mr. Incognito
Avoid falling in lava as you jump your way through this multi-level platformer game.. Collect stars and use either seeds or stars to unlock more characters, features and themes.

Have you ever wanted to try your skills as a photographer? Now you have a chance! In this game, you have 60 seconds to take up to 10 photos of various animals. After the time is up you’ll get to choose the photos you think are the best and see what score you get. Use your seeds to unlock unique animals and extra photos!
Riverside Ranch by Swim Girl Studios
Try this awesome farm simulation where the goal of the game is to make as much money as possible and expand the farm. You can do all sorts of fun activities — grow plants (corn and wheat), raise cute animals (cows, pigs, and chickens), and create products (different foods). Then, fill orders placed by customers, purchase more factories, grow more plants, and buy more livestock. Use seeds to buy unlimited storage, faster manufacturing speed, bonus animals and more.
Cooking Sandbox 🧑🍳 by t1
Do you like cooking? How about creating a yummy sponge cake with mango compote on top of it? Press on the screen and move around to find the recipe book, ingredients, and cookware. Use seeds to get special ingredients. Bon appetit!

Thinking about a new haircut? Why not try it out on this character customizer first before getting out the scissors? Create your own custom avatar by choosing their complexion, clothing, and more. Use seeds to unlock special clothing items. Make a screenshot of your final character and share it with the community on the Hopscotch forum!

Help Robo save the world by completing all 12 levels in this exciting platformer game. Use seeds to unlock boosters and custom characters to have even more fun!
Shovelbox — Pixel Coloring by Stylishpoopemoji33
You will love the drawings you can create with this color-by-number app! Choose from 17 pixel art templates and color in the shapes according to the numbers. Customize the colors to your liking. Then once you’ve finished, watch a time-lapse that plays back your entire drawing, from start to finish! Save your colorful creations to the gallery so you can show them to your family and friends. Why knows, maybe this will be your first step towards becoming an artist yourself!

Would you like to launch your own rocket to the Moon? It might sound challenging, but don’t fret — use seeds to boost your rocket, give it a strong engine, and add more parts. Customize your rocket to give it a personal touch…because who says a rocket ship can’t be lime green? Once you launch your rocket, lookout for the obstacles — they can slow your flight.
Bear Game 2 by Petrichor.
Explore a world and defeat your enemies. Because you are a noble warrior, you will take turns with the enemies in ordering your characters to either attack an enemy (drag from the character to the enemy to attack), or do something to positively affect one of your own characters (either tap the character to affect itself, or drag to another allied character). Visit the shop to spend seeds on special armor, weapons, and shields.

This is an open-ended city-building game where you act as an invisible mayor that cares about his town and the people that live in it. Build more buildings, plant trees, produce goods in factories, and sell them on the market. Use seeds to unlock special features like beachfronts and mountains for your citizens to enjoy. Watch out for the happiness of your people — it’s very important!

Want an energy boost? Let’s dance with awesome pokemon! Pick one of these pokemon and show everyone your moves. The higher your score, the better. Use seeds to unlock additional levels. Let us know how many levels you were able to dance through!

What if you needed to escape the Earth and your life would depend only on a few balloons? Try to fly your house as far as possible. Remember that losing even one balloon can affect your flight. Visit the shop and use your seeds to get extra balloons, a custom house, or an aquarium!
